I bought this reach extender for my aging mother and now she can pick up anything that she happens to drop. I got the magnetic tipped one and she can even pick up her needles when she drops them. She said she needed one for every room in the house. Thank you for this product.

Tips cannot come off, sturdy shaft, simple design July 12, 2010

I have had one of these for at least 10 years and it is able to grab anything I have wanted it to. I use it to reach cans of food in a high cabinet. It is very sturdy. If I were to buy another reacher, this is the one I would buy.

I have another reacher that folds. My problem with that one is that very often inadvertantly I would turn it and then it would fold up accidentally. I don't use the folding one at all any more because I just want to grab and go, and not think about it.

The design is simple so there are fewer parts to wear out. Item number is Duromed Reacher Extender with Magnetic tip DUR1762.
